Compare the2025 Jeep Wagoneer SVS 2025 Honda Prologue

Both the Wagoneer S and Prologue have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Wagoneer S has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Prologue’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To allow off-road and deep snow capability, Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Wagoneer S. But it costs extra on the Prologue.

The Wagoneer S’ driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Prologue doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Wagoneer S and the Prologue have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras and rear cross-path warning.

Jeep pays for scheduled maintenance (up to 2 visits) on the Wagoneer S for 1 year and unlimited miles longer than Honda pays for maintenance for the Prologue (2/unlimited vs. 1/12000).

There are over 2 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Honda dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Wagoneer S’ warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Jeep vehicles are more reliable than Honda With 16 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Jeep higher than Honda.

The Wagoneer S Limited 4dr Sport Utility’s standard electric motors produces 280 more horsepower (500 vs. 220) and 281 lbs.-ft. more torque (524 vs. 243) than the Prologue’s standard electric motor. The Wagoneer S Limited 4dr Sport Utility’s electric motors produces 200 more horsepower (500 vs. 300) and 169 lbs.-ft. more torque (524 vs. 355) than the Prologue’s optional electric motors. The Wagoneer S’ optional electric motors produces 300 more horsepower (600 vs. 300) and 262 lbs.-ft. more torque (617 vs. 355) than the Prologue’s optional electric motors.

On the EPA test cycle the Wagoneer S All Season Tires gets better mileage than the Prologue Elite (104 city/90 hwy vs. 104 city/87 hwy MPGe).

The Wagoneer S’ standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Prologue are solid, not vented.

The Wagoneer S’ tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Prologue’s standard 60 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Wagoneer S has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Prologue.

The front grille of the Wagoneer S uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Prologue doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Wagoneer S’ rear seats recline. The Prologue’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Wagoneer S 4dr Sport Utility has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Prologue with its rear seat up (30.6 vs. 25.2 cubic feet). Standard Trailer Sway Control on the Wagoneer S uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Prologue doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat in the Prologue Touring/Elite, the Wagoneer S has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position (with optional power wheel adjuster), outside mirror angle and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Wagoneer S’ front and rear power windows all open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Prologue’s rear power window switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Wagoneer S to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Prologue doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Wagoneer S has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Prologue doesn’t offer cornering lights.

When the Wagoneer S is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Prologue’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Jeep Wagoneer S has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the Prologue Elite.

Both the Wagoneer S and the Prologue have standard heated front seats. The Wagoneer S Launch Edition also has standard heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Wagoneer S’ passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Prologue doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Wagoneer S has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Prologue Elite.

The Wagoneer S has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

The Wagoneer S’ Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Prologue doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
